This book mirrors my thirteen-year experience as an EMT-fire-rescue person in our rural-to-suburban mountain district. It’s also the situation of a wife and mother whose kids are grown and gone from the home. Somewhere in the book is the question: Where does all awakened love go? It also provides an embarrassing answer to the question: What is love? Some of the people in that service thought I was modeling my characters on them. That’s not the way fiction is written, so stop posing for the cover, fellas.
